Founded in 2020 by Irina Borisov, Velvet Kimono is a brand new label born in Amsterdam, inspired by women, and carried to the world. Irina is community force, bringing women together through initiatives, events, and her international presence online.
For their 2024 season, Velvet Kimono invited Yuedam to shape a studio concept shoot that reflects the brand’s spirit:
“Royal comfort, timeless style.”
The collection’s elegance lies in its duality — garments that drape with regal presence while moving with effortless ease. It is a dialogue between strength and softness, tradition and modernity, identity and expression.
This project also marked a milestone for Yuedam: the first to engage our growing model network, connecting talents from the Netherlands, Germany, and Moldova into one shared visual narrative. Alongside Julia – the result is a photographic series that celebrates both diversity and unity through fashion.
